UX Designer
Job description
We're working with a high-profile innovation and digital transformation hub within a semi state organisation, currently looking for an experienced UX Designer to join their multidisciplinary digital team on an initial 6 month contract.
This team is driving customer-centric digital products and services that improve user experience and operational efficiency across a range of touchpoints across digital retail platforms.
As a UX Designer, you'll work across the full design lifecycle – from user research and testing through to design and iteration – bringing seamless, intuitive experiences to life for B2C digital channels including apps and web platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the UX/UI Lead and cross-functional teams (Product, Tech, Commercial) to design high-impact digital experiences.
- Plan and conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and continuously improve experiences.
- Create and iterate wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UIs.
- Work closely with developers to ensure smooth implementation of design concepts.
- Contribute to and help evolve the design system to ensure consistent, scalable design.
- Balance business goals and user needs to deliver commercial value and great UX.
What You’ll Bring:
- 5+ years of hands-on UX/UI or Product Design experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centred design across responsive web and mobile.
- Experience conducting usability research and translating insights into design improvements.
- Proficiency with Figma and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and user testing tools.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- A creative, problem-solving mindset with a passion for designing intuitive experiences.
