Senior Media Relations Manager – Maternity Cover Contract
Are you a seasoned media relations professional available quite immediately an open to a contract role with a highly recognisable organisation? This is a critical role responsible for the development and roll out of external communications strategies and campaigns
Core responsibilities will include:
- Development and implementation of the media communication and engagement plan.
- Develop and lead external comms campaigns; deputise for the department head when needed
- Devise and implement campaign-based media strategies to protect, enhance and develop the reputation of the organisation through the media
- Maintain strong media relationships and manage suppliers, ensuring delivery against both financial and quality measures.
- Engage with the key internal contacts and external stakeholders to identify positive proactive profiling opportunities for the organisation- Act as the first point of contact for press and media queries, and act as trusted advisor to other members of employees on external communications issues
Who are we looking for?
A communications professional with a proven track record of working across key businesses, and an in-depth knowledge of communication channels and processes. You must have an interest in and experience of implementing creative, innovative campaigns as well as more traditional media relations activity, and you'll have knowledge of business and media groups. Along with the ability to collaborate with journalists, you'll be comfortable advising and challenging stakeholders.
