Our client, a leading professional services firm are looking to recruit a newly created role – Head of Events and Sponsorship.

Leading a team of 5 reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer this role will see you playing a critical leadership role in shaping the organisations brand narrative through the strategic development and execution of a comprehensive events and sponsorships program.

Day to day duties include à
Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive events and sponsorships strategy aligned with overall brand objectives and business growth goals.

  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify potential opportunities and partnerships.

  • Lead the creation of a diverse and engaging calendar of events, including industry conferences, seminars, client briefings, and exclusive hospitality experiences.

Partnership Management:

  • Secure and manage high-profile sponsorships that deliver strategic value, align with brand values and contribute to achieving key business objectives.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential sponsors, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.

  • Negotiate and manage sponsorship agreements, ensuring optimal activation and maximum return on investment.

Event Execution & Optimisation:

  • Oversee the flawless execution of all events, ensuring exceptional attendee experiences and brand alignment.

  • Lead a team of event professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

  • Implement innovative marketing strategies to maximize event reach, engagement, and brand visibility.

Measurement & Reporting:

  • Establish and maintain a robust system for measuring event and sponsorship success through key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and continuously optimize program effectiveness.

  • Prepare regular reports for senior leadership, highlighting key metrics and demonstrating ROI.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role within events and sponsorships management.

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful events and sponsorship programs that deliver tangible results.

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.

  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve peak performance.

  • Adept at project management, budget oversight, and data-driven decision making.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
