Consumer Sales Channel Manager

Key purpose of the role
Reporting to the Head of Sales, this key position will be responsible for managing sales channel providers in the residential sector including field, telesales and online teams, as well as selling directly to large multi-site residential groups. The key objectives will be to meet sales targets in line with business plans, to manage existing customer retention programmes, to develop business opportunities and to assist and advise on sales strategies.
Key responsibilities
• Management of multi-channel sales providers and ensuring that contracted KPIs are strictly met.
• Deliver and report on weekly, monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Be the lead Compliance contact and advisor for the Sales Team.
• Ensure that all sales meet regulatory and legislative compliance.
• Report to management on future business opportunities and sales strategies.
• Competitor analysis and report on same.
• Manage customer retention programmes including post sales queries, commission management and customer care issues.
• Liaise closely with the product manager to assist with bringing new products to the market.
• Ad hoc projects as they arise.

Essential Criteria
• Experience of managing third party suppliers/customers, ideally in a sales environment.
• Experience of managing sales teams.
• Ability to create new business opportunities.
• Knowledge of sales compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrable experience of implementing and managing KPIs.
• Ability to manage tasks and deadlines and to resolve conflicting priorities.
• The ability to work autonomously.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Must possess a third level qualification in Business, Management, Sales or Marketing
• Excellent IT skills.

• Experience of working in the energy industry.
• Experience of managing budgets.
• Self-directed with the ability to work on own initiative with drive and enthusiasm.
