Alternatives are delighted to be working with a leading Global FMCG company. They are seeking a confident and passionate Assistant Brand Manager in County Kildare.

In this role you will use information acquired from market research, you’ll identify products that are trending or where there is a gap in the market to then develop the branding for multiple products at once to then analyse the data on the products success.

The position offers hybrid working opportunities (2 days in, 3 days out) alongside the opportunity to meet on a monthly basis with our UK based team.

Key responsibilities

  • Driving growth of brands within the category portfolio to drive competitive advantage, profitable growth, increase brand value and maximise return on marketing investment

  • Support & drive brand development agenda based on consumer insight

  • Supports the development of a future focused and inspiring vision/growth strategy, customer and shopper insight and understanding of the competitors and trends

  • Applies insight-based tools to develop winning portfolio strategies

  • Define a brand purpose, positioning and architecture that gives superior competitive advantage. Develops a 1 year brand plan including goals and tactics that will build brand equity & profitably grow the brand

  • Understands the market & category dynamics and is able to apply these

  • Understands at a fundamental level how to identify growth opportunities and provide supporting analysis as required.

  • Understands the insight tools and can use them to assess brand performance, produce insightful analysis of market, category and competitors to help inform Brand & portfolio development

  • Takes responsibility to protect and build the brand over time and at every touch point

  • Works with Brand Team & External Agencies to brief, generate and validate an inspiring and enduring campaigns that can work in both consumer and shopper channels

  • Responsible for budget management & tracking

  • Actively involved in building Media Channel plans based deep insights into media/digital habits and create appropriate assets that build the brand experience
