Job description

Our client, a prominent public body, is dedicated to delivering essential services that support communities across Ireland. They are committed to fostering a sustainable environment and enhancing the quality of life for all citizens. Due to an internal restructure, they are looking to hire an experienced Internal Communications Manager.

Joining a team of 6 across communications and brand, the ideal applicant will have at least 5 years’ experience working in a corporate internal communications role. You will have experience in design and delivery of complex messages, using a range of channels to an large complex audience.

This role will be hybrid, based 2 days onsite with remote working outside of this. You maybe based out of the Dublin or Cork office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies.
  • Manage internal and external communications to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Oversee media relations and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Lead crisis communication efforts and develop contingency plans.
  • Utilise data-driven insights to adapt and refine communication approaches.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in communications, preferably within the public sector or regulated industries.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic communication plans and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
