Data Scientist (Finance R&D) with ref. 5631 in

I'm looking for a Data Scientist with a strong understanding of commercial delivery, and a great understanding of a range of Machine Learning concepts. You should be interested in full end-to-end analytics projects, from taking a debrief with senior stakeholders through to prototyping, modelling and delivery.

This role would suit someone who already has some people management experience, or who is reaching the point in their career where they would like to gain some of this - leading projects will take up a significant amount of your time. This is leading from the front, however. You still need to be willing and able to roll your sleeves up to do the hands-on.

You will also gain huge exposure to working on projects on a global level, working with a wide range of tools, including Hadoop/Spark, on huge data-sets, as you join a major global data research hub.

Requirements:

PhD/Masters level education in a strongly quantitative or computational discipline, and 3+ years commercial experience, or a strong undergraduate education and 5+ years experience.
Experience working on full end-to-end projects, including significant stakeholder interaction
Strong experience with both Python and R
People management and Financial Services experience would be desirable, but not essential
