WordPress Developer
Job description
Experienced WordPress Developer required for a top agency in Galway, working with large scale international clients.
Applicants should be able to independently handle the development of a website from start to finish, typically in WordPress. This position involves working closely with the design team, client managers and other developers. You will also assist in the maintenance and post-launch support of projects.
As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development; including creating WordPress themes, plugins and customisation. You should have a strong understanding of latest industry trends and content management systems, in particular WordPress.
This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the colour and font choices, and so on).

To be eligible for this role you must have:
- Minimum. 2-3 years’ experience in WordPress web development
- CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript and jQuery and Adobe creative suite
- Excellent eye for detail
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Chrome Developer Tools, etc
It would be advantageous (not essential) to have experience in the following:
- CSS pre-processors such as SASS.
- Task runners such as Gulp/Grunt.
- Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Code versioning tools such as GIT
