Fáilte Ireland is currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated and publicity-focused officer to join its International Publicity Team.
You will have experience in people management within an organisation with direct reports combined with a demonstrated proficiency in managing budgets. You will have excellent communications and organisational skills and experience working cross functionally with other teams and stakeholders. You will also be able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder relationship.
There will be a blended work model, which includes remote working and flexible working arrangements, with the office location based in Fáilte Ireland, 88-95 Amiens Street, Dublin 1.

Business Unit: Marketing Communications and International Publicity
Reporting to: Manager, International Publicity
Salary: €49,576 - €70,895* per annum
*The successful candidate will commence on the 1st point of the salary scale in line with current Government pay policy.
Job Purpose
The successful candidate will have specific responsibility, as part of the International Publicity team for delivering maximum international publicity for Ireland through engagement with international media from a number of overseas markets.
Note: Our partner agency, Tourism Ireland, has the responsibility of marketing the island of
Ireland to overseas holidaymakers. We work very closely in partnership with them as they source and monitor the media whom we host jointly.
Primary Objectives/Key Responsibilities
Key Deliverables
Work closely with other Divisions within Fáilte Ireland such as our Brands: Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s Ancient East, Dublin, Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands and Festivals and Activities divisions to build international awareness for our brands, festivals and key activities through bespoke media itineraries
People management and proven proficiency in budget management
Promote a regular feedback for the Brands, Festivals and Activities teams to communicate to industry regarding overseas coverage of businesses within their destination
Input into the development and implementation of international media planning with Tourism Ireland
Monitor international media and PR plans against annual targets
Liaise with other teams on an agreed programme of activity including milestones and calendar to support PR activity, stakeholder engagement, industry communications and internal messaging of the international publicity department.
Operational
Track and collate data to assess trade partner performance against agreed programme and partner KPIs
Support the team in reporting on data, learnings and ROI analysis from international publicity activity
Coordinate the development and implementation of the publicity plans for international media
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as local authorities, public agencies and industry ensuring delivery of agreed destination development plans.
Collate and share international publicity coverage with the rest of the organisation on a quarterly basis
Integrate use of CRM management system in daily activities
Support the broader team to deliver operational plans
Ensure all activities are delivered on time and on budget
Full understanding of procurement policy procedures
Carry out all other duties as required and participate as a full member of the Team by supporting different work projects, as required, from time to time.

In order to be eligible to apply for this role you must have / demonstrate in your application form the following:
Previous experience in managing a medium to large sized team directly
Excellent knowledge of the PR landscape and experience delivering successful PR campaigns
A proven track record of project and budget management skills
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Effective and efficient organisation and planning skills and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
Demonstrate knowledge of the tourism and/or service industry and related institutional networks at local and national level
Qualifications/Mandatory Training
A Professional Qualification (minimum Level 6 under the QQI Framework) in a related discipline is essential
