*The successful candidate will commence on the 1st point of the salary scale in line with current Government pay policy.

As Covid19 continues to have a catastrophic effect on the tourism and hospitality industry, Fáilte Ireland is helping the industry navigate and survive this crisis through targeted business supports, key mentoring and tailored recovery plans.
As part of this work Fáilte Ireland is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Consumer Planning and Insights (CP&I) Manager to join its team on a fixed term basis.
The role will report to the Head of Consumer Planning and shall be based in Fáilte Ireland, 88-95 Amiens Street, Dublin 1. However, in line with current Government guidance, the successful candidate will commence in this role while working from home. Please note that outside of the emergency measures currently in place by the Government, Fáilte Ireland’s standard policy concerning work location is that it is based at its administrative offices and Tourist Information Centres.

Job Purpose
The objective of Consumer Planning & Insights is to help unlock the growth potential for tourism and support Fáilte Ireland in the development of the category by keeping the consumer at the heart of all decision making. This is underpinned by strong expertise and experience in market research and consumer insights. The candidate will operate at a managerial level within a team that champions and drives world class understanding of consumer attitudes, motivations and trends that can be leveraged to grow tourism in Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a rewarding category with a range of attractions, festivals, development, and brands in order to support the growth of tourism in Ireland. You will be working in a dynamic and innovative team with a strong vision of keeping the consumer at the heart of the business in order to drive strategic decisions. In particular as Fáilte Ireland navigates the impact of the Covid pandemic this individual will be central to providing consumer insights and research on the product development side of the organisation.

Carry out all other duties as required and participate as a full member of the Consumer Planning & Insights Team by supporting different work projects, as required, from time to time. Person Specification Supporting the Head of Consumer Planning & Insights you will have strong Consumer Insight and market research skills as well as experience working cross functionally with other teams and stakeholders. You will also be able to demonstrate excellent relationship management of agencies and a range of external partners with an ability manage deadlines. You will also need an innovative ability to designing, analysing, and presenting insights and research projects.
