This is a great opportunity to join one of Ireland’s most successful retail chains with 21 stores nationwide and plans to open more stores in Ireland and the UK.  They are looking to hire a Head of Marketing to help them achieve their ambitious growth plans. This role reports into the CEO and is a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT).  A team of 9 with 2 direct reports.

Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                             

Strategy:

  • The successful candidate will lead, create, implement and deliver their marketing strategy
  • Communicating clearly to your team, the SMT and all stakeholders the marketing strategies
  • Delivering the marketing strategies and measuring success in a tangible manner
  • Oversee the planning, management, and execution of all marketing communications

Online:

  • Enhancing online presence
  • Implementing effective, value for money e-commerce solutions that will drive more sales
  • Managing and enhancing the customer e-commerce experience
  • Working effectively with all stakeholders on all e-commerce initiatives
  • Execute effective social media and digital marketing strategies

Offline:

  • Reviewing all offline marketing activities
  • Working on the right mix of media, the message to be delivered and the various channels to market
  • Assessing and enhancing in-store and POS marketing initiatives
  • Managing media spend

Management:

  • Lead, motivate and mentor the team to deliver high performance across all channels
  • Managing, mentoring and motivating your colleagues

Finance:

  • Effective budgeting for all aspects of the marketing spend
  • Measuring effectiveness and value of each initiative
  • Preparing value for money cases for new initiatives
  • Driving the culture of value over cost within the marketing department

Skills Required:

  • You are a Head of Marketing in a retail or FMCG business
  • You are experienced in both traditional marketing and online marketing roles
  • A natural leader, you can influence and communicate effectively with all levels within the organisation
  • You get things done! Practical by nature coupled with a creative streak
  • Happy to work in an entrepreneurially led business
