Overall purpose of job

 

We are looking for a senior developer with full stack experience to join the asset development function of the Ad Tech team at the Centre for Innovation to envision, architect and help deliver new applications and innovations

 

We are a small team that will work closely on rapid prototyping and development of refined proof of concepts. You will have an excellent track record of developing technical solutions to improve the performance of digital marketing as well as delivering customer-facing digital products.  Your first few projects will be focused in developing products for digital marketing

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Researching, designing, and prototyping new disruptive and innovative marketing solutions, initially focused on digital marketing / ad tech projects
  • Bridge the gap between strategy and technical implementation in marketing solutions, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the technical implementation looks as well as how it works
  • Working with other Accenture colleagues in data, analytics, media, technology, processes and our clients' agencies to transform or improve digital operations and performance

 

 

Basic Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Expert, hands-on knowledge of various programming languages including; HTML(5), CSS (including CSS3), OO JavaScript, JSON, SQL, XML
  • Experience with server side languages such as PHP or Java
  • In depth understanding of MVC design pattern and Object Orientated Programing
  • Experience working with agile development
  • Adherence to web standards and best practices
  • Experience developing for multiple devices such as mobile and tablets - including responsive design
  • Experience with source/version control software such as SVN & Git

Background:

  • Bachelor's / Masters degree in Computer Programming or similar field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in development/ web design
  • Must be able to easily work across teams, flexing to different processes and communicating clearly with colleagues across various skillsets
  • Ideally you will have experience in consulting, agency or creative agency
  • High energy, self-starter with an aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to different stakeholders (external and internal)
  • Ability to multi-task and support multiple areas of responsibility at the same time
  • Fluent in English

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with various ad tech solutions and digital marketing toolsets including Adobe and/or Google
  • Good working knowledge of various aspects of digital marketing practices ranging from web analytics, PPC, SEO and programmatic advertising as well as the online optimisation and personalisation of these practices
  • Strong understanding of latest emerging adtech/platforms/architectures (fingerprinting, cookieless) is a bonus
  • Familiarity with algorithm and big data technology potential in order to work alongside data scientists and data managers in charge of designing and developing segmentation, lookalike, analytical and predictive models as well as dashboards
