Would you like to give your time and talent as a marketer to an Irish charity?

Congratulations. The fact you are reading this means you are one step closer to giving your time and skills back to the community.

To give you just a brief overview of what we do, the Alternatives’ Marketing for Change programme was designed to enable marketers in Ireland give something back by doing what they know best - marketing.  As a result of Marketing for Change, charities can now have top-level marketing expertise at their disposal at no cost. 

Great marketing makes a real difference to business and there is a constant need for marketing excellence in the charity sector. With your help we want to fill that need. Some previous marketing for change volunteers have had great success in various charities carrying out a wide variety of marketing activity. To give some examples of how our volunteers have helped charities through the programme - the Hope Foundation had a volunteer redesign their website to make it more attractive, World Vision have benefited with access to a senior marketer who aided in developing their long term marketing strategy and Childfund had somebody help them develop brochures and communications material.

This programme caters for all types of marketers and time availabilities, so whether you have a very busy schedule but would still like to give a few hours a week or, you are between jobs and would like to give a more significant period of time whilst adding to your CV at the same time, there could be an opportunity vacancy with the programme to match your current situation.

The Marketing for Change Programme is a flexible, easy way to put your marketing skills to very good use and as an experienced marketer in Ireland, this programme is aimed at you, because we believe that a gift of your talent and expertise will make a significant difference.

How to get involved with the programme

There is no better time to join the programme than right now. All you have to do to get involved is keep an eye on the positions available on the Volunteer drop down on the job search page and when you see an opportunity that matches your skillset and time availability simply register your details and I will get back to you.

For example:

• Irish Deaf Kids are looking for someone to develop and implement a campaign to drive awareness around their latest greeting card campaign.
• MS Society of Ireland are looking for some people to help them for a few hours a week in updating their database and building profiles for their spokespeople. They also need an events and communications coordinator for world MS day.
