About the Charity
|
Big Brother Big Sister (BBBS) is an internationally renowned youth mentoring programme, which matches adult volunteers with young people aged 10-18 years who need an extra level of support in their lives. Through weekly meetings, volunteers become friends and positive role models to the young people they are matched to.
Next advisory committe meeting will be taking place on Wednesday the 11th of March 2009 in the Irish life and Permanent Building on Abbey St., Dublin City Centre,6:45 - 9pm.

A) Project Launch/ Recognition Night:
-To ensure this event will be effective in recognising the efforts of volunteers who are presently mentoring young people in Dublin
- For the BBBS programme to be recognised by more people in Dublin as the first choice when trying to source a mentor for 10 to 18 year olds.
- To make more political figures more aware of BBBS and its’ worthyness to become government funded
B) Recruitment Drive focused on Male Volunteers
To increase the number of male volunteers applying to the BBBS programme. Approx target number: 50 in 2009
C) Fundraising for the Dublin based programme
To create an attractive and high profile fundraising campaign that will attract people to donate money to BBBS on a regular basis.
